The region that he will preside over covers Minnesota, over half of North and South Dakota and also a large part of Wisconsin. Currently there are are 28 recognized chapters throughout North America, with several more to be approved soon!

Steve was also chosen as one of the Instructors at the Field Training School held yearly. There are only 16 instructors in the United States at this school, and to be chosen as one of them is truly an honor! AFA’s Field Training School puts it all together for foremen, superintendents, salesman and future leaders. The School teaches innovative installation techniques, provides in-depth knowledge of new technologies and a new pride in fencing. A combination of classroom and hands-on field instruction are provided in eight critical areas of fencing: PVC fence products; Bias Cutting; Chain-Link; Farm and Ranch; Gate Operators; Welding; Wood Fence; and Ornamental Metals.

The AFA has a rigorous certification program that recognizes individuals that have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to quality products and improving standards within the fence industry. A Certified Fence Professional (CFP) will have a good understanding of specifications, product quality and installation techniques that will help assure a first-class product for the consumer. A CFP must meet a continuing education requirement as well as industry service requirements to maintain this certification.
Look for the CFP designation on business cards, letterheads, and web sites. Discuss material specifications with your fence sales associate or project manager to assure that you are getting the appropriate materials for your job. |
